Farah Hirani joins CSI as content strategist
Starting in September, Farah Hirani will join the CSI team to help us tackle our upcoming content strategy projects. Farah’s experience in science and storytelling make her a great fit for what we do.
Farah started her career as a scientist after getting a master’s degree in environmental science. She used research, data analysis, and critical thinking in her positions at Hydro One, the Vancouver Aquarium, and Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada.
When she discovered her love of marketing, Farah completed the marketing management post-graduate program at Sheridan College, and now combines her scientific skills with her flair for storytelling. “My tendencies to make data-driven decisions and keep my eye on the problem have never really left me. It’s always fun to see how this training can be put to use in marketing and content management.”
“We’re so pleased to have Farah join the CSI team,” says co-founder Kathy Wagner. “Farah’s interests and experience in research and creativity are a perfect fit for our approach to content strategy. We’re looking forward to bringing her on board in time for some exciting fall projects.”
Farah says she loves the idea of being part of a company that specializes in content strategy. “I’ve been part of larger companies struggling to manage and optimize their content, but very few seem to know how to solve the problem,” she says. “This position sounded like a great opportunity to actually put myself in a position where I can help these types of companies solve content-related problems.”
She’s looking forward to working with different companies in different industries with the CSI team. “Not only will it be interesting to see how the marketing and communications departments are structured in these different organizations, but I’m also looking forward to learning about industries I’ve never worked in before,” she says.
